Reporting to the Superintendent – Fixed Plant Maintenance Planning, you will utilise your extensive
SAP, Weekly Schedule / Shutdown Management knowledge & skill to support the Lihir Fixed Plant Maintenance Management teams with regards to the Newcrest Work Management Systems, Processes, Contractor & Cost Management. This will be delivered through effective training & coaching of planning, reliability and execution teams. The Specialist – Maintenance Systems will provide expert guidance and coaching to achieve best practice in shutdown & weekly - planning, scheduling & maintenance execution using SAP & MSP. Furthermore, you will assume responsibility for budget setting, management, forecasting and reporting within SAP as well as interrogation and improvement of Work Management performance indicators.
The current roster for this role is 15 days on, 13 days off.
Located on Niolam Island in the New Ireland Province of Papua New Guinea, Lihir offers both residential and fly in fly out opportunities (role dependent). Our site offers a range of facilities including a medical clinic, the international primary school for residential families and the Lihir Sports and Social Club with its varied sporting activities and popular bar and bistro.
To succeed in this role, our ideal candidate will have significant experience with Fixed Plant Maintenance across large industrial sites. You will also possess a broad knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance and Materials Management with specific experience in weekly planning & shutdown management, maintenance budget creation & reporting. You will have 5 years experience in Work Management, Shutdown Management, Maintenance process and system roles in a mineral processing or similar environment. Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills is highly advantageous.
