We are currently seeking an experienced Process Technician to join our Ore Processing team based at Telfer during an exciting period of transformation. Reporting to the Supervisor – Ore Processing, you will be accountable for operating all sections of the processing plant to achieve production plans with minimal process interruptions. Particular emphasis will be on Occupational Health & Safety, continuous Improvement and Hazard Identification.
Your responsibilities will include plant start-up and shutdown, operational and pre-start checks and continuous plant monitoring, accurately recording data and collecting samples as required by Production and Metallurgy departments, raising safety and maintenance issues as they arise, participating in safety toolbox and prestart meetings, ensuring a safe workplace.
The current roster for this role will be 8/6D, 7/7N.
Located in the Great Sandy Desert in Western Australia, Telfer is a fly in out fly out operation from Perth which recognizes the importance of work-life balance. To succeed in this role, you will be safety focused, team oriented, enjoy continuous improvement and driving for results. You will be an experienced operator with 3-5 years in a similar role within large scale mineral processing plants, ideally with exposure to; crushing, SAG/ball grinding, gravity, flotation, Isamills, CIL/CIP, elution, reagent mixing, thickeners, concentrate filtration circuits. You will also possess a manual car licence.
It would be advantageous to have had control room experience using a Yokagawa DCS.
It would also be highly desirable to have a HR or C Class license, experience with operating skid steer loaders, forklifts, front end loaders and hold nationally accredited confined space and working at heights tickets.
