The Superintendent Business Improvement is responsible for developing and supporting business improvement initiatives and managing the improvement pipeline across the Red Chris Mine value chain.  The successful candidate will benchmark site performance, identify opportunities for improvement, assist in building business cases, and track initiative progress.  The successful candidate will facilitate cross departmental co-operation and collaboration to maximize business value by ensuring site and corporate initiatives are translated into Red Chris business goals.

Key Accountabilities

Demonstrate absolute commitment and leadership in providing a safe working environment by:
• Promoting and maintaining a culture of ‘safe production’ by compliance with company safety systems, policies, procedures and accountabilities

Technical Accountabilities/Requirements
• Focus on value additive change and oversee the Red Chris improvement initiative pipeline

• Benchmark and business case analysis

• Champion business improvement projects
• Project timeline, budget and value tracking
• Drive compliance with Red Chris standards, procedures, policies and government legislation
• Work closely across multiple work areas/disciplines (mine, mill, tailings, warehouse, camp and contractors)
• Influence people across all work areas and encourage positive and sustainable change
• Subject matter expert in business improvement in mining and/or mineral processing

• Ability to identify the gaps in processes
