Who we’re looking for

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, a unique career defining opportunity has arisen for a Functional Lead of Engineering Governance in our Melbourne Head Office. Primarily responsible for providing practical leadership to the enterprise in the delivery of engineering governance, key areas of focus include asset related risk, asset integrity management, operational readiness of new and modified assets, asset configuration documents and engineering standards and specifications.

 

This role serves as an excellent opportunity for someone keen to consolidate their career with an organisation that places a priority on caring about people, working together and achieving a high-performance culture through innovation and problem solving. Working within a collaborative professional team, you will provide discipline engineering support as requested by site(s), studies or projects. You will lead Engineers in the delivery of safe work practices by providing support for applicable major hazards and leverage your wealth of experience through mentoring and coaching as required.

 

You will also be required to:

  • Support and provide input into the design and delivery of the strategies, frameworks, policies and practices for the workstream/function
  • Develop and review Engineering Governance Business process (e.g. Operational Readiness, Engineering Standards, Configuration documents, asset related Risk) guidelines, training material, metrics and reporting
  • Seamlessly implement asset integrity management systems and processes
  • Defines and governs requirements to ensure compliance with technical standards, codes and regulations
  • Undertakes portfolio prioritisation of risk reduction initiatives and capex projects

 

To be successful in this multifaceted role, you will be an effective leader and a collaborative communicator with demonstrated operational and/or project experience, ideally within hard-rock Mining industry. You will have substantial knowledge and experience executing a range of Engineering Governance activities and risk management. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will empower you to establish technical influence while also enabling you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.

 

You will need to be tertiary qualified in Engineering or have equivalent trade and industry experience to support the technical support requirements of the role.
