Our Red Chris operation is now recruiting for the position of Senior Planner - Mobile Maintenance with a competitive base salary between $109,650 - $129,000 dependant on experience, skills, and qualifications, with an additional short term incentive of 15% . The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills and competencies with consideration to internal equity.
We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.
The Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner is responsible for accurate and high-quality Planning and Scheduling of all long-range corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance carried out on assets in Mobile Maintenance. Activities will be coordinated with maintenance, supply, operational and reliability functions in order to create safety-focused work packs to deliver availability and reliability of mobile plant assets.

Maintenance Planning/Scheduling
Long Range is defined as any planned major work; including, but not limited to PCR’s and full asset shutdowns
Responsible for Planning and Scheduling Long Range work through to handover to Execution
Planning responsibility of a work order begins once it has been marked as Approved (APRD). At this point a Long-Range Planner/Scheduler will undertake the planning of the work order in line with Newcrest’s Maintenance Business Process (MBP) and mark it as Planned (PLND) and Released (REL) once planning is complete
Responsible for all work marked with a Planner Group of 11F
Plan any work order to fully comply with Newcrest’s Planning Guideline before it is marked as PLND to ensure it is of high quality
Prepare detailed work plans that include personnel, plant, equipment and parts availability for the safe, timely and successful execution of work orders
Build robust work packs including Safe Work Instructions, checklists, safety documentation and any associated drawings or reference material to assist with the efficiency of the job
Scheduling responsibility of a work order begins once it has been marked as Planned (PLND). At this point the Long-Range Planner/Scheduler will undertake the scheduling of work orders in line with Newcrest’s Maintenance Business Process (MBP) and mark them as Scheduled (SCHD) once the final schedule is locked in place.
Develop and Maintain a 12 month look ahead schedule to a high standard using the Prometheus scheduling tool
Ensure the schedule has the following
Maximised resource value
Streamlined workflow
Minimised impact on plant or equipment productivity, and
Fully utilised available downtime
Provide tracking support for major outages
Drive adherence to major outage framework timing
Accountable for the upkeep of the 2Y rolling Maintenance Availability Forecast
Responsible for entering and maintaining all 11F downtime forecasts into the 2Y rolling Maintenance Availability Forecast
Ensure scheduling against FPM Availability matches rolling Maintenance Availability Physicals forecast
Make sure all maintenance activities can be carried out in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations
Provide planning and scheduling support to ensure effective maintenance
Facilitate weekly Long-Range work review meetings

Other Duties
Assist in development and maintenance of both physical and financial budgeting practices
Actively look for and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness
Maintain high levels of communication with team members and stakeholders
Understand and monitor KPI's to drive compliance and assist with budget and cost control processes
Provide a flexible work group in the event of an unplanned absence
Facilitate weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) review meetings to develop improvements and drive compliance to the MBP
Work with reliability teams to achieve best value on component life cycles
Qualification
Red Seal Trade qualification and/or Engineering Designation (required)
7 – 10 years of Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (desired)
MMP (Maintenance Management Professional) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional) designation (desired)
5-10 years experience in Mobile Planning/Scheduling Role – essential
Mobile Maintenance Leadership experience (desired)
