The Brucejack Technical Services and Engineering team is now recruiting for the position of Glacier Advisor with a competitive hourly wage of $45.36, dependent on experience, skills, and competencies with consideration to internal equity.
The Glacier Advisor position is located at Brucejack Mine, BC and reports directly to the Glaciologist or designate. The Glacier Advisor’s primary responsibility is to support the Brucejack Glacier program through training on hot water drill use and maintenance.
We are seeking and individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity, to work at the remote camp location on a casual basis (5-7 days on site, and casual work from home).
Responsibilities
Perform the following duties with safety being the number one priority:
- Provide glacier program support and training in the operation of the hot water drill.
- Provide guidance on maintenance and replacement parts required for hot water drill functionality.
- Provide historical information on hot water drill maintenance and liaise with suppliers.

Qualifications
- Previous experience working and maintaining the Brucejack hot water drill for glacier deep drilling.
- Work at remote location (camp) on a casual basis (5-7 days on site, and casual work from home)
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical screening
- Be able maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shifts
- Able to work in areas of extreme weather conditions
- Able to work in close quarters with the team
