Our Lihir operation in Fleet Services is now recruiting for the position of Technical Specialist – Mechanical (Shovels & Drills)
This role adds value to Lihir by providing technical mechanical maintenance expertise in Fleet Services for the Field Maintenance department.
Ideally, our preferred applicant holds a Trades Qualification with at least 5 years of experience in a large mining or heavy industrial environment with significant experience and understanding of Caterpillar engines, transmissions, and hydraulic and steering systems .
You will have extensive experience with TEREX RH200 and Caterpillar 6060 Face Shovels in addition to CAT 3500, 3412, 3406, C32 engines , Cummins C K1500, QSK50, QSK 23 and Hitachi 2600, 1200 systems and operation.
In addition to your technical expertise, the role requires to lead and develop a team of embedded contractors through regular feedback, coaching and formal training so Certificate in Workplace Assessment and Training or similar highly regarded.
