Who we’re looking for:

Cadia Valley Operations is actively seeking a new Supervisor for our Mobile Maintenance Department! In this role, you'll oversee the efficient and safe maintenance of equipment and fleet maintenance teams onsite, managing all maintenance activities. Additionally, you'll play a key role in assembling, training, and supervising a skilled team committed to maintaining the Mobile Fleets at Cadia Valley Operations.

Kindly be advised that this position is based in Orange, NSW, operating on a rotating 7/7 roster, necessitating the successful candidate to work alternating days and nights.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensuring safety compliance, fostering team skill development, and promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement.
  • Understanding maintenance techniques, budgets, and fleet requirements. Knowledge of departmental procedures, planning techniques, and cost review.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizing systems for planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and monitoring equipment maintenance.
  • Active participation in business planning, meetings, and reviews.
  • Fostering a culture of safety and teamwork, mentoring team members for development, and ensuring operational discipline
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure safe production within budgeted expectations.
  • Ensuring completion of performance requirements, incorporating on-the-job training, and enforcing compliance with statutory and site standards, including zero tolerance for unsafe driving behaviour.
  • Operate within WMS framework to meet objectives and KPIs.
  • Contributing to plant performance optimization, developing, and executing maintenance plans, and promoting proactive maintenance systems.
  • Ensuring adherence to documented processes, maintaining accurate shift logs, and leading by example in appearance and housekeeping.
  • Collaborating with fleet maintenance shift supervisors and teams to ensure effective labour management and communication.
  • Ensure effective development and mentoring of team members under your supervision to align with CVO's goals.
  • Ensure team members have appropriate training and competencies for their tasks.
  • Promote a harmonious team environment by ensuring clarity in role expectations.
  • Prioritize safety in all maintenance activities at CVO.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • Qualified tradesperson / engineer in the maintenance field (mobile fleet experience will be an advantage)
  • Previous supervisory experience in heavy industry maintenance
  • Familiarity with modern maintenance techniques and computerized maintenance systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and adherence to procedures.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting.
