Our Lihir operation in Fleet Services is now recruiting for the position of Technical Specialist – Mechanical.

As a Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the Ancillary Fleet Maintenance function by consistently achieving high standards in safety, work quality, professionalism, troubleshooting, defect identification, and sectional KPI performance. Your expertise will be demonstrated through performing preventative mechanical maintenance, inspections, attending to breakdowns, and diagnosing faults in a variety of equipment, particularly Tadano and Liebherr Cranes, and Clarke Forklifts.

Your proactive approach will contribute to minimizing machinery downtime and ensuring maximum availability is maintained.

The preferred candidate should hold a Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Fitting. In addition to your technical expertise, the role requires effectively improving the skills of Ancillary Fleet Fitters and Mechanics through on-the-job training, capacity building, and skills transfer. Experience and qualifications in delivering training and assessment are desirable.
