Our Lihir operation in Fleet Services is now recruiting for the position of Technical Specialist – Mechanical.
As a Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the Ancillary Fleet Maintenance function by consistently achieving high standards in safety , work quality, professionalism, troubleshooting, defect identification , and sectional KPI performance. Your expertise will be demonstrated through performing preventative mechanical maintenance, inspections, attending to breakdowns, and diagnosing faults in a variety of equipment, particularly Tadano and Liebherr Cranes, and Clarke Forklifts .
Your proactive approach will contribute to minimizing machinery downtime and ensuring maximum availability is maintained.
The preferred candidate should hold a Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Fitting . In addition to your technical expertise, the role requires effectively improving the skills of Ancillary Fleet Fitters and Mechanics through on-the-job training , capacity building, and skills transfer. Experience and qualifications in delivering training and assessment are desirable.
