About Telfer:
Located in the Great Sandy Desert in the East Pilbara region of WA, Telfer is a short two-hour flight from Perth. While at site Telfer offers a range of recreational activities including a gym, swimming pool, driving range, movie room, and refurbished communal eatery.
Who We’re Looking For :
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Utilities -Superintendent to report to the Manager- Maintenance at our Telfer Operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead our Utilities and power generation work teams, ensuring resources and capabilities align with work plans while meeting legal and company objectives.
Please note: This role is FIFO 8/6 flying on Mondays
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the reliability of assets through loss accounting, failure analysis, and implementation of reliability improvement projects.
Collaborate with operations, reliability, and planning teams to review and approve shutdown strategies.
Drive and monitor plant system availability and reliability.
Maintain all plant, equipment, and associated infrastructure in optimal operational condition.
Prepare and manage Utilities performance reporting and documentation.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on value and cost reduction.
Manage contracts with in your area of control.
What You Bring:
We are looking for a strong communicator and influencer and someone who is familiar with working in a highly collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on innovation and best practice.
Strong working knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Word.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven leadership experience, ideally in a Superintendent or similar role, within a technical and maintenance background.
Familiarity with risk management frameworks and safety management systems.
A self-starter mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and value addition.
Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
Trade Qualified Certificate and manual driver’s license (essential).
Experience with fire systems and a solid technical background in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, particularly with power management, high voltage systems, and water networks.
Cert IV qualification in Instrumentation is favourable.
